FRP molded grating

Molded grating is manufactured by laying continuous glass fibers in the mold in the direction of vertical and horizontal, and thoroughly wetted out with resin, layer by layer. When the weaving process is completed, the mold is heated to cure the panel. After curing, the panel is ejected from the mold. The standard panel would have meniscus (concave) top surface. Any process such as post applied grit could be bonded after as a secondary operation. This continuous process produces an integral, one piece panel, which offers excellent corrosion resistance as well as bi-directional strength.

The pultrusion process is a molding technique that involves impregnating continuous fibers with thermosetting resin through external traction, then heating and curing the fibers in a mold to achieve a constant cross-section composite material.

We can customize production according to your needs, you only need to provide us with drawings, and we will evaluate them and provide a quotation.

Standard Fiberglass Pultruded Grating is made of a matrix of polyester resin. The reinforcement is achieved by a combination of fiberglass mats and rovings with a glass content of approx. 65%. Standard colours are grey or yellow, but all other colours are possible.
